Swiss Machining
Ultra-precision turning for small, complex parts. Our Swiss-style lathes excel at high-volume production with exceptional surface finishes and tight tolerances.

Why Choose Swiss Machining?
- •Extreme Precision: Guide bushing supports the material right next to the cutting tool, eliminating deflection.
- •Complex Geometry: Live tooling allows milling, drilling, and turning in a single setup.
- •Cost Efficiency: Reduced secondary operations and handling means lower per-part costs for high volumes.
- •Surface Finish: Superior finishes that often eliminate the need for secondary grinding.
The Swiss Advantage
Swiss-type screw machining is the process of choice for small, intricate parts required by the medical, aerospace, and electronics industries. Unlike conventional lathes, Swiss machines feed the bar stock through a guide bushing, meaning the cutting tool always operates right next to the point of support.
This virtually eliminates part deflection, allowing us to machine long, slender components with incredibly tight tolerances that would be impossible on traditional turning centers.
Technical Capabilities
- Diameters from 0.030" up to 1.250"
- Tolerances held to ±0.0002"
- Sub-spindle operations for complete back-working
- Live tooling for milling and drilling in a single setup
- High-pressure coolant for deep hole drilling
- Automated bar feeding for lights-out production
